NewWave Communications Announces National Partnership with U.S. Marines Toys for Tots

After years of involvement with the US Marines Toys for Tots program, NewWave Communications is proud to announce they are now a National Corporate Sponsor of the program.

NewWave will be accepting donations of new toys on behalf of Toys for Tots in dozens of retail stores across their seven-state footprint through December 18th.

“At NewWave, we place a priority on continued investment in our local communities, whether it be in our network to ensure delivery of a world class Internet experience, or investment in organizations like Toys for Tots,” explained NewWave CEO Phil Spencer. “We consider it our privilege to be able to partner with the organizations that strengthen the areas where our employees work and live.”

Toys for Tots is a national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve that has helped provide happiness and hope to disadvantaged children at Christmas for nearly 70 years. From October to December every year, Marines of the Marine Forces Reserve, and local community organizations collect new, unwrapped toys, books and other gifts for less fortunate children in nearly 800 communities across all 50 states. Donated items are distributed to the children most in need with the help of local welfare agencies, churches and other community groups. Last year the Marine Corps fulfilled the holiday hopes and dreams of nearly 7 million children. Since 1947, over 237 million children have been assisted.
