I have no dial tone.
First, check to see if you have dial tone on any other phone. If only one phone is having dial tone issues, try plugging another phone into the line it is using to determine whether the problem is with the line or the phone itself.
If none of your your phones have dial tone, try power cycling the MTA which provides your phone service. You will need to remove the unplug the power as well as remove the battery pack. Once this is done, all lights on the MTA should go off. Let the MTA sit unpowered for thirty seconds. Then plug in the battery pack and power. Allow thirty seconds for the MTA to power up, and then check to see if you have dial tone. If the issue still persists, please contact our technical support here.
I have static in my phone line.
First, check to see if static can be heard with all of your phones. If you can only hear static on one phone, try plugging another phone into the line it is using to determine whether the problem is with the line or the phone itself.

I can receive incoming calls, but cannot make outgoing calls.
First, check to see if you can make outgoing calls on any other phone. If you can make outgoing calls on other phones, try plugging another phone into the line it is using to determine whether the problem is with the line or the phone itself.

I cannot make collect calls.
By default, collect calls are blocked on NewWave's phone service. NewWave does not have the capability to bill customers for collect calls, so you will need to setup an account with the collect call provider. To enable collect calls, please contact our technical support here.
